Charlotte FC reportedly have a verbal agreement to acquire forward Enzo Copetti from Argentina’s Racing Club.
According to MLSsoccer.com, the MLS club will pay around $6.3 million to complete the deal.
Copetti, 26, scored a team-high 21 goals in 47 matches across all competitions during the 2022 season as Racing Club finished second on the Primera Division table behind Boca Juniors.
He began playing professionally in his native Argentina with Atletico de Rafaela (2016-21) before joining Racing Club, whose alumni in MLS include New England Revolution striker Gustavo Bou and New York City FC midfielder Maxi Moralez.
