Toumani Camara recorded 23 points and seven rebounds and Scoot Henderson added 21 points and seven assists as the Portland Trail Blazers routed the visiting Washington Wizards 123-88 on Sunday.

Former Wizards player Deni Avdija added 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists as Portland never trailed en route to winning for the sixth time in the past eight games. The Trail Blazers (38-38) are 1 1/2 games behind the eighth-place Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference play-in jockeying.

Portland visits the Clippers on Tuesday and the teams also meet on April 10 in Portland.

The 35-point winning margin matches the best of the season for the Trail Blazers. The first occurrence was Monday’s 134-99 rout of the visiting Brooklyn Nets.

Will Riley scored 14 points off the bench for the Wizards, who lost for the 18th time in 19 games. Washington (17-57) is closing on its third straight 60-loss season.

Bub Carrington scored 11 points but missed the final quarter due to muscle cramping. Alex Sarr (left big toe) sat out for the Wizards.

Tristan Vukcevic and reserves Justin Champagnie and Sharife Cooper added 10 points apiece for Washington and Julian Reese collected 13 rebounds.

Portland, which played without Jerami Grant (calf strain), shot 51.2% from the field and hit 12 of 36 from 3-point range. Jrue Holiday added 11 points and Matisse Thybulle had 10 for the Trail Blazers.

The Wizards made 36.8% of their shots and were just 5 of 22 from behind the arc.

Avdija had 15 first-half points and Henderson added 14 as Portland led 58-47 at the break.

The Trail Blazers opened the game with a 10-2 spurt en route to the 11-point halftime lead before putting the game away in the third quarter.

Portland outscored the Wizards 33-19 in the quarter while Washington made just eight of 24 shots and committed eight turnovers.

Camara scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting in the period and Portland sank 11 of 19 as a team.

The Wizards trailed by seven before the Trail Blazers went on a 22-2 surge. Avdija’s layup capped it to give Portland an 81-54 advantage with 3:19 remaining.

The Trail Blazers led 91-66 after three quarters and opened the fourth with a 14-0 burst. Holiday made two 3-pointers, Thybulle sank one trey and Jayson Kent scored the final five points as Portland held a 105-66 lead with 9:33 left in the game.
